Cuba CityKleta - A Bicycle Enthusiast Tour of Havana


No Group Tours available at the moment but Vaya is happy to arrange a similar tour for you, your friends, or a private group.


Sample Itinerary

Day One- Airport Pickup 

  • Settle in at Casa Que Pasa, a charming Casa Particular in Central Havana
  • Welcome Dinner at Donde Lis, traditional Cuban cuisine, with Jorge, Your Man in Havana 


Day Two  

  • Walking Tour of Old Havana: history, culture and architecture of the last 500 years
  • Lunch reservations at a local paladar
  • Meet Yasser Gonazlez, owner of CityKleta 
  • Cafecito with Yasser: A round-table discussion on Cuba’s Bicycle Culture 
  • Escorted visit to Casa de la Música, Havana's most popular music venue
  • Dinner reservations in Barrio Chino, Havana's Chinatown


Day Three 

  • CityKleta Ride #1_ Havana on Two Wheels: a six-hour view of Havana the average tourist does not get to see including:
    • Gallery Gorría in San Isidro
    • Lunch reservations at El Café with entrepreneur Nelson 
    • Visit to Dador, one of the few privately owned clothing atelier studios in Cuba
  • Evening mojitos at the Hotel Nacional and visit to the Mafia Bar
  • Dinner reservations in Vedado
  • Optional evening visit to a Jazz Club


Day Four 

  • Day Trip to La Terrazas- a communal agricultural and reforestation community 
  • Farm-to-table Lunch
  • Tour of Polo Montañez- home – the most poetic of Cuban singers
  • Dinner reservations at Al Carbon, traditional Cuban cuisine at its best


Day Five

  • Ferry Boat Ride to Regla to tour the Museum of Religion and the old slave market
  • Dance Lesson at the Casa with Natasha
  • Dinner reservations at San Cristóbal Paladar located in a 20th Century mansion, where Obama chose to eat during his visit to Cuba
  • Optional evening activity: music or dancing at local club


Day Six 

  • Rum or Cigar Factory Tour
  • Cooking Class in traditional Cuban food
  • CityKleta Ride #2- The Evening Colors - Experience the changing light and atmosphere as the sun sets above the Malecón seawall
  • Dinner reservations at Sky-Line Café, overlooking the water
  • Optional evening activity: music or dancing at local club


Day Seven 

  • CityKleta Ride #3- The Enchanted Forest - a verdant view of Havana
  • PicNik in the park with fellow bike riders
  • Evening Dinner and Show inspired by the Buena Vista Social Club


Day Eight 

  • Transport back to airport for return flights

Accommodations will be at Casa Que Pasa or a similar Casa Particular. 

Vaya only works with trusted Casas where we can know the owners.
