Before your trip, Vaya meets with you (email, call, text, zoom whatever you prefer) and together WE create your Itinerary. When you arrive in Havana you are picked up at the airport and taken to your Casa. Your Cuban Guide will meet you there and review your Itinerary with you in person.

Itineraries vary, for instance Vaya arranged a trip for 3 adventurous women in the 80's. They were picked up each morning by a Cuban Guide or Driver and accompanied every moment of the day until they returned back to their hotel at night.

In other cases, a couple would prefer to be driven to a restaurant in the evening but take their time and call for their own taxi home with the assistance of the Maitre'D.

In Cuba a Casa Particular is similar to an Air B&B but these charming abodes have been around for for many more decades. Vaya can choose the style of Casa Particular that suits your taste. There is a wide range; from a room in a house with a family, to an entire apartment with a kitchen or even a full mansion with 3 or 4 bedrooms, complete with a chef and a caretaker.

Currently, the U.S. government does allow American citizens to stay in new state-run 5-Star hotels in Cuba. This is a new development, with only a few hotels available for U.S. citizens. 

Additionally, there are several delightful small boutique hotels in Havana that are privately owned and available to U.S. visitors. These boutique hotels offer a European-style  ambiance with taste and comfort. We recommend booking these desirable accommodations a couple months in advance.
